This one came outta nowhere! Great characters, great visual design, great music, great and hilariously inappropriate violence... just great, great, great. Granted, around two hours of QT's completely-superfluous-and-frankly-mildly-retarded-dialogue-that-isn't-actually-intriguing-unless-you're-a-huge-tool could have been cut out to allow more scenes around the titular heroes, which probably would have made this a personal favorite of the year. Still, like the patrons attending the film-within-a-film, you'll probably find yourself laughing monstrously at the sheer brutality of it all.
